The plan will deliver the following services to resolve lorry parking issues on the estate, enable employees to better utilise public transport and reduce traffic congestion on the estate at peak times.

Estate Lorry Parking Facility
Lorry parking was the prime concern of employees on the estate. Road One on the estate was designed for wide loads, and does currently accommodate lorry parking whilst lorries await access to individual sites. However parking of lorries on the road does present safety issues for other road users. The plan will trial an estate lorry park, where companies will be able to send lorries to wait, until their load is ready for collection or delivery.

Annual Bus Timetable Review
Working with Cheshire County Council and Arriva, the Winsford 1-5 group will undertake an annual assessment of bus timetables to identify if these meet the needs of employers/employees. Following on from the annual review, an estate specific leaflet will be produced and made available to employees, detailing the business services to and from the estate.

Car sharing web site
The Business Improvement District will trial the provision of an inter company car sharing scheme for employees travelling to work from similar locations. The benefits from the initiative will be to reduce congestion at peak times and reduce employees travel costs.
